About Our Family
The Meeker Family opened Bobalu’s on Big Coppitt Key in 2001.
Doug & Deb worked tirelessly to bring great southern style home cooked meals to the Lower Keys. They also offered the same New Haven Style Pizza that you are eating today. Bobalu’s Key West is the second generation effort of Doug & Deb’s son’s DJ & Dustin. The Meeker Family has a long culinary tradition of excellence in the Keys and this downtown location is the fruit of that effort.
